Our Story
Firstech Institute of Automotive Technology (F.I.A.T) was founded in 2016 as an automotive technical training institute with a common vision of creating a recognized vocational technical training institute in Zimbabwe and abroad that collaborates with other colleges and auto industry working to strengthen the competency and global competitiveness of automotive workforce. Our aim is to create and sustain an innovative, responsive and standard based workforce education development system that meets the automotive industry requirements.

Goals
- Create business/industry partnerships in developing core technical education that meets the high priority needs of automotive manufactures and suppliers.
- Increase secondary to post secondary transition from post secondary to employment and/or self-sustenance.
- Develop workforce standards for multi-skilled maintenance technicians.
- Prepare workforce to be globally competitive.
- Increase workforce productivity.
- Create and sustain the program with assessments, credentialling and continuous improvement.
- Develop self-reliant entrepreneurs in both men and women.
